Dominique Charpentier is one of the few French composers known in the modern classical world. In addition to his career as a solo artist, he composes original soundtracks for films. Dominique Charpentier draws inspiration from the contemplation of nature (Lou vènt) or the beauty of everyday life (Carnet de voyage), using mainly the piano as a means of expression. The quality of his work has allowed him to sign recording contracts with many modern classical labels such as 7K! (Germany), Sonder House (U.S.A.), 1631 Recordings (Sweden) or Memory Recordings (Italy). He regularly collaborates with young, emerging and talented composers* such as Klangriket, Kyle McEvoy or Illuminine. Most recently he released the albums Lueurs (2019) and Tipi (2021).
