Novemberstimmung – when the year is coming to its end and we are surrounded by that typical November mood, it is time for a musical encounter of the experimental and the classical, between avantgarde, ambient and pop. This infamous night – carefully curated by Brueder Selke, brothers Sebastian and Daniel Selke, the founders of Q3Ambientfest in Potsdam also known as the renowned cello-piano duo CEEYS – invites open-minded music lovers to meet a handpicked selection of established and aspiring contemporary musicians and composers.
What is more, the event aims to establish a special bond between artists, audience and the fading year. The 11th month of the year is one filled with melancholy, one in which personal experiences meet historical events – and so the encounter opens up space for everyone involved to find inspiration, dwell in the here and now, evaluate and appreciate and partake in a delicate sound experience against the backdrop of a colorful concert night.
Novemberstimmung will take place on Nov 26, 2021 at Fabrik Potsdam – presented in cooperation with the Dutch music initiative Fluister, Piano & Coffee Co., Traurig und Untanzbar, 30CC and Brudenell Piano Sessions – close to the famous film city of Babelsberg, not even an hour away from Berlin…
Since 2017, Sebastian and Daniel have brought together 83 artists from 34 countries for varying projects within cultural institutions of Potsdam.
„Novemberstimmung“ – zum Ausklang des Jahres begegnen sich experimentelle und klassische Musik zwischen Avantgarde, Ambient und Pop. Der Abend – erdacht und sorgfältig kuratiert von den Bruedern Selke, Sebastian und Daniel Selke, als preisgekröntes Potsdamer Cello-Piano-Duo CEEYS und Gründer des Q3Ambientfestes Potsdam bekannt – richtet sich an den aufgeschlossenen Musikliebhaber, der eingeladen ist, eine handverlesene Auswahl etablierter wie aufstrebender zeitgenössischer MusikerInnen und KomponistInnen kennen zu lernen.
Anspruch des Zusammentreffens ist es darüber hinaus, eine besondere Beziehung zwischen Künstlern, Publikum und dem zu Ende gehenden Jahr herzustellen. Der so melancholische 11. Monat verbindet sich in der menschlichen Erfahrung mit außergewöhnlichen historischen Ereignissen, und so bietet die Begegnung allen Beteiligten Gelegenheit, aus eigener Inspiration zu schöpfen, das Hier und Jetzt wahrzunehmen, abzuwägen und zu schätzen sowie teilzuhaben an feinsinniger Klangsprache innerhalb eines farbenreichen Konzertabends.
„Novemberstimmung“ findet am 26.11.2021 in der Fabrik Potsdam und in Kooperation mit der niederländischen Musikinitiative Fluister, Piano & Coffee Co., Traurig und Untanzbar, 30CC und Brudenell Piano Sessions statt – nahe der weltberühmten Filmstadt Babelsberg, nur eine knappe Stunde von Berlin entfernt…
Seit 2017 waren bei Sebastian und Daniel bisher 83 Künstler aus 34 Ländern Gäste unterschiedlicher Formate in Potsdamer Kultureinrichtungen.

BK Pepper is a composer and producer from Dublin, Ireland. The multi instrumentalist released his Debut Album Territories in 2020 followed up by a Live Ep "From an Empty Castle" in 2021.

Mexican composer, pianist musician and mechatronic engineer. He grew up in a family of 5. At 4 months of age he suffers a traumatic health event, which leads his parents to surround him with an atmosphere of classical music. In the following years he shows interest in the piano, beginning his first studies at the age of 9 years. Following his musical taste, he obtained achievements and recognitions for his compositions. Currently he creates original musical arrangements with organic and synthetized sounds.

Dominique Charpentier is one of the few french composers renowned within the modern classical world, a fast-growing musical genre including well known artists like Nils Frahm or Ólafur Arnalds. Alongside his solo artist career he decided to compose original soundtrack for movies. His work ethic lead to the success of The Cakemaker (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack) the first feature film he worked on, which was acclaimed by the critics and the audience. Drawing his inspiration from the contemplation of Nature (Lou vènt), or the beauty of everyday life (Carnet de voyage), Dominique Charpentier mainly uses the piano as means of expression. The quality of his work enabled him to sign record deals with a lot of modern classical labels like 7K! (Germany), Sonder House (U.S.A), 1631 Recordings (Sweden) or Memory Recordings (Italy). Being a very active artist, he also collaborates on a regular basis with young rising talented composers like Klangriket, Kyle McEvoy, or Illuminine. He is currently working on a new double album, Lueurs and Fragile Equilibre, to be released in 2019-2020.

Born in East Berlin, the poly-instrumental composer duo Brueder Selke is considered an insider tip among music lovers. From icons like Mary Anne Hobbs to like-minded colleagues, there's hardly anyone who hasn't come to appreciate the subtle experimental yet accessible releases and special electro-acoustic performances of Sebastian on cello and Daniel on piano. Until now, the two have been working in secret under their alias CEEYS. Their works can be found on various labels and are regularly broadcast worldwide on radio and television. The joint musical meditation Thesis 17 with Peter Broderick and Daniel O'Sullivan has just been released as CONSTANT PRESENCE on Gregory Euclide's THESIS PROJECT. Collaborations are an essential element of the Selke brothers' work, which is why they have been developing their own concert formats since 2017. Their carefully curated annual Q3AMBIENTFEST has found a home in the film city of Potsdam, as have the brothers. After a year of uncertainty, a rework album with well-known and up-and-coming guests will be released again under the guise of CEEYS in autumn 2021. The idea of exchange remains and also determines their debut at the Ambient Festival: a mutual transmission shapes the evening on 11.09. between St. Aposteln, Cologne and the legendary Zionskirche, East Berlin, between Ambient Festival 1000 and Q3Ambientfest, with performances by Hauschka, Alvin Lucier's The Ever Present Orchestra, Ausklang and the brothers Selke.
New music and projects are set for release in 2021.
