Marienborn review by Jay Honeycomb

Hailing from the German city of Potsdam, Brueder Selker released the stunning Marienborn in November 2022. The piano-based compositions are given flair visa searching strings, gentle guitar, pallets of reverb, and an unwaveringly introspective spirit. So lovely are the textures and components that you don’t find the repetition or one-note nature of the collection tedious. That’s certainly the case for the album highlight “Fourty-Five To Ninety” or the enchanting title track. This is an album for coffee-scented mornings and candle-lit afternoons.
