Go East I Soviet Era Synthesizers

From windy drones to raw analog rhythm boxes, from fluid arpeggios
to aggressive resonating filters, from acoustic instruments to analog synthesizers the GO EAST series
is a first in its kind, a carefully curated sample collection by East-Berlin born, Potsdam-based
poly-instrumental composers Brueder Selke also known as award-winning
cello-piano duo CEEYS recorded at their very own Klingenthal Studio.

It follows their overall dual approach of making chamber music as two brothers and is based on their origin growing up in the streets of East Berlin before and after the Fall of the Iron Curtain,
the historic turning point in 1989.

First Part
Listen

Part One brings out unheard sounds from the East European hemisphere.
A handful of restored organs, the Piano-Strings, the E-Piano and the Synthesizer plus the "soviet tank", the dual oscillator Polivoks and the polyphonic Faemi all developed and manufactured in the former Communist-era German Democratic Republic or the Soviet Union and build to last the next nuclear fallout. But this is just the tip of the hat of what treasures to raise in that ammunition crate because in addition to these ancient monsters some handselected experimental instruments from contemporary manufacturers are included.
