Brueder Selke Orchestra

We are overjoyed that after such a long time the annual Christmas Oratorio could be performed again on 19/12.

All under very strict conditions with 2G+ also for all musicians and with only 4 rehearsals.

Sebastian and I are especially happy about the trust to take over the Schaffrath Chamber Orchestra, founded in 1989, now into a new stage (previously: Hilmar Schmalenberg). For the first time, as it was not possible in 2020, we were able to build up the orchestra together again.

The conducting of the Neuruppin a cappella choir has been taken over for about a year by a newly acquired friend: Nils Jensen (previously: Hans-Peter Schurz), who in such a short time and with the greatest commitment has musically artistically created a completely new extraordinary sound.

Heartfelt thanks also go to dear Manfred Raabe: without you, many things would not have been possible!

Together, if all goes well, we will perform the Carmina Burana next year.

"[...] - on May 14 it is to be performed. "In a very special version," reveals Nils Jensen: "The Killmayer version with percussion, strings and two pianists." And, of course, the a cappella choir."

Well, who will take over one of the grand pianos and who you will hear in the string section you are welcome to guess :)

A wonderful article by Regine Buddeke (photos also by her) about the successful concert can be found here:
