AF x Q3A Official Aftermovie
The poly-instrumental composer duo Brueder Selke from East Berlin is considered an insider tip among music lovers.
There is hardly anyone who does not appreciate the subtle experimental, yet accessible releases, especially the electro-acoustic performances of Sebastian Selke on cello and Daniel Selke on piano, who also operate under the alias CEEYS.
Their works can be found on various labels and run on radio and television worldwide - "extraordinary" (Mary Anne Hobbs, BBC Radio 6 Music).
Just released is the musical meditation Thesis 17 with Peter Broderick and Daniel O'Sullivan on Gregory Euclide's THESIS PROJECT. Collaborations are an important element of the Brueder Selke's work in general; since 2017, they have also been developing their own concert formats in this way. Their annual Q3AMBIENTFEST has now found its home in the film city of Potsdam.
In the fall, a CEEYS rework album with stars and newcomers will be released.
The idea of exchange remains central, and it also determines the debut of the Selke brothers at the Ambient Festival: a two-way transmission between St. Aposteln in Cologne/Ambient-Festival 1000 and the legendary Zionskirche in Berlin-Mitte/Q3Ambientfest, designed for the evening of 9/11 with performances by Hauschka, The Ever Present Orchestra, Ausklang and: the Selkes themselves! © Dombois Filmed by Roman Koblov
